Highly Skilled Speech & Language Therapy for Apraxia, Late Talkers, Reading, Spelling & Social Skills

Our Services Go Well Beyond Evaluations and Therapy
We Solve Problems Before They Happen

We try to check your benefits every year.  Typically, each call takes about 30-45 minutes.  This helps ensure everything runs smoothly and there are no surprises.

We submit superbills & claims for you!  Claims are typically submitted at the end of every week.  Your carrier will send your reimbursement directly to you.

We stop, think & plan before our day begins and after every appointment.  This improves their experience, progress, and helps you reach your long-term goals as efficiently as possible.

We always strive to be better today than we were yesterday.  We are constantly seeking new research and advanced trainings in areas that directly benefit you, your child, and your family.

Evaluations

=

Initial Meet & Greet ($75)

These optional 40-minute appointments for parents and caregivers (not children) new to Cheerful Chatter give you much more than basic descriptions, dates, prices, etc.  You will have the undivided, uninterrupted attention of one of our provider so you can ask questions specific to your needs/situation, your child’s strengths/weaknesses, and determine if one of our services is right for you or your child.  So that you can speak freely, your child should not attend.

We will meet in-person, over the phone, or via telehealth and discuss your concerns.  Schedule your Meet & Greet with Ellen here.

Targeted Evaluations ($500)

Targeted evaluations use only medically necessary protocols; typically only one is used. These evaluations determine general levels of function in order to develop initial therapy plans. This is the most insurance carriers will cover.  Options include:
⋅ Speech Fluency/Stuttering
⋅ Speech Clarity/Articulation
⋅ General Language Level
⋅ General Cognitive Level

=

Extended Evaluations ($1000-2000)

Extended evaluations typically use two or three protocols to thoroughly investigate a few areas of concern.  Options include:
⋅ Listening & Speaking Skills ($1000)
⋅ Reading & Writing Skills ($1000)

Insurance benefits may help pay for part of the cost of an extended evaluation of listening & speaking skills.

Concerned about childhood apraxia of speech? We recommend an extended evaluation of listening and speaking skills.

Concerned about dyslexia? We recommend evaluations of listening and speaking skills and reading and writing skills.  If they have not participated in a cognitive evaluation elsewhere, that may also be warranted.

=

Comprehensive Evaluations ($4000)

Not in agreement with the evaluation completed by your school?  State law gives all parents the right to an independent evaluation by a provider of their choice.  If interested, let your Child Study Team know that you want Cheerful Chatter to complete an independent, comprehensive evaluation.

Comprehensive evaluations thoroughly investigate all areas of speech and language development.  They include one 30-minute school observation when permitted by the school and when it is located within 30 minutes of Cheerful Chatter’s office.  Comprehensive evaluations also include one 45-minute appointment with family member(s) to review the report, answer questions, etc.

How to Get Started

  • Let us know you’re interested by sending us an email, completing a contact form at the bottom of any page, or scheduling an initial meet & greet
  • We will respond via email and send you paperwork to complete online
  • We will check your insurance benefits and explain what we learned
  • We will meet for testing… About two weeks later a clearly worded written report will follow

Individual Therapy

=

Individual Therapy ($150)

Our 40-minute appointments include time for your child and time for you… Because children make the most progress when skills are reinforced at home, it is important for us to stay on the same page.  Taking the time to review their progress, answer your questions, and disucss how you can help them at home can make a world of difference!

Come once per week or multiple times per week… we’ll make a recommendation, but work within your schedule and budget.  Appointments are held Mondays through Thursdays in the afternoons and evenings to help avoid conflicts with work and school schedules.

Insurance reimbursement may be available… and we’ll help you figure it all out!
